I ran an Armstrong MT500 in the mid 90s and it was great fun, this has led
me to buy an Armstrong MX500 - this is the off road Mono-shock version (I
think!) of the MT. It has a 500 Rotax engine and seems to share a few parts
in appearance if not in part number.

It is my intention to register and put the machine on the road for winter
use and I will use some MT parts such as the generator and controls however
I would use different front and rear lights to be in keeping with the
machines appearance.

So why am I telling you this? Well does anyone know anything about the MX500
or have any experience of this type of conversion? I guess I could have
looked for an ordinary Enduro but I fancied a challenge and this has to be
it, comments please Smile
