Jez Bob I was at the Coffee Plantation at around 10 am. Didnt see one silver
GSXR1000 on the whole street. I figured that with my Black GSXR1000 I would
stick out...but no Bob!!

We did another ride thru globe, suprise and wittman(spl?) and had a blast.

I never ride out with a group that size. Rather meet out there.

Why did you not do the standard ride from the Coffee plantation?
That's the point. It's an annual event at TTF, not Globe or Suprise or
Witmann. You can do those rides any time.

Exactly!!! Not that I am judging anyone....But it looked like in that pile
of seasoned riders a few squids might be hanging in the group.

I just kept picturing alot of riders and alot of accidents waiting to
happen. I'm probably wrong....but at this point in my life...I dont need to
gamble. I'd rather ride with a group a friends that I know that when we are
going thru a turn at a buck-plus isnt going to go down due to inexperience.

Stone, most the guys who met at the Coffee Plantation were geezers on
Euro-bikes. And sure there might have been a few squids in the fray
but to my knowledge there were no crashes in the canyon on New Years.

The fast group only rides the top section (past TTF) that late in the
day anyway. I did a top loop with AMA racer Mat Hartlieb, on one of
his rare appearances of late.

We definetly have to hook up for a ride. I could use the advice of an
experienced rider.

Are you going to the trackday on the 11th and 25th?

You bet.
Sounds like you're plenty experienced, just new to crotch rockets.

 >Are you going to the trackday on the 11th and 25th?

Possibly the 11th at AMP but I've still got this busted foot that
won't get XRay'd again until early Feb. My boss even made a comment at
a group meeting before the break, "Bob no racing" -Smile Then the foot
feels fine so I may chance it anyway. At any rate, team "Chicken
Strips" will be out there in force -Smile

Busted early December.
