Hi, I recently purchased a 1998 Honda VT100 Shadow ACE. The po installed a
K&N paper filter, but did not re-jet. Is it necessary to re-jet when going
from stock filter to the K&N paper filter?

Thanks, Mike

Probably not. Do a plug chop and have a look at the plugs. If it's
running lean, you might need to go up a size, but I doubt it.

jetting - Bill The 03 Fatboy TC88 carbed engine came with a #45 pilot jet, you will need to replace it with a #48 pilot jet, I strongly suggest the SE air cleaner kit. but it can be done either way, the carb done over with the SE air cleaner kit will give....

yet another jetting question - This '81 CB650 has something to teach me. (the positive way of looking at it) I got it at the beginning of the summer with 13,000 mi. I just checked the odometer, I put a little more miles on it over the summer than I thought. It's at 18,000 now. At..

Jetting on Suzuki GS - I acquired a 1977 Suzuki GS750 a while back and I am now getting it on the road. The previous owner completely gutted the exhaust and it has pod filters on it. Needless to say, it is way lean; after 4-5K is really gives up. I am trying to figure out what...

Carb jetting on GS450S - My 81 GS450S came with K&N filters and a Mac 2 into 1 exhaust. The jets are currently stock. I am replacing the rather loud "ding ding" cannon that Mac calls a muffler with a can from a 2001 GSXR600. At that point I will be looking at...

Jetting requirements for individual air filters - My 82 XJ1100J Maxim is on the way to becoming a chopper (if I can ever locate some 10" shocks), and part of that transformation is the removal of the stock air cleaner box. Replacing the air cleaner box will be four cone filters. I forget where I ...
