Hi guys,

One of our local dealers has a '99 Suzuki Katana ( 600cc ) in stock. Bike
seems to be in pretty good condition, undamaged fairing, 7.5k mi. I'll
probably go and buy it ( or at least, try to haggle ) tomorrow.
Now the question is, what price should I be aiming for? I checked NADA and
KBB. NADA says the "average retail" for this bike is $3345. KBB names the
retail price $3855. Dealer wants $4199. Who should I trust?

Thanks
Eugene

That dealer probably gave the previous owner about $2500 for it max.
Remember, they're in the business to make money and from what I have heard
from my local dealer, when they can sell a used bike that's been sitting for
a while, they make more on the sale than they would on a new bike.
