I have a high mileage '83 Honda VT500C Shadow.
I have a low mileage '85 Shadow doner bike with bent frame.
I'd like to drop the 85 engine into the 83 frame.
Except for the mechanical vs electrical tach, is there
anything else I need to worry about?
I'd hate to get both bikes torn apart to discover some
reason that the swap won't work.

Thanks, mike

Mike,

besides the electrical/mechanical tach issue that you are already
aware of, you should not have any worries at all. The engine will
swap right in, no problems.

BTW, I'm VERY interested in some parts form the bent 1985 parts bike
if they are still available. Please, drop me an email.
