Hey kids, i just picked up an 83 Midnight Maxim (xj750) and plan on taking
some cross country road tips this coming summer. Since it's starting to
become winter here, i was going to use the downtime to look for some
saddlebags and a luggage rack to throw all my gear in. Does anyone know of
compatable saddlebags that i can use on this bike? I see a lot on ebay for
VMax and newer bikes, will these work on mine? Same with the luggage racks
and sissybar. I would think that that the luggaerack would have to be
specific to the back end imentions of the bike, right?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wyndorf, Go to Longriderleathers.com I bought a nice set from them for like
$40. Also, I could never find Saddlebag Supports for my 83 midnight 920
virago. I went to a local Auto Body shop. The guy made me a set for like
$15, and He's making me a Luggage rack on tuesday for $30 or so. You might
check with your local body shop. They often do more than just paint. Good
luck, and enjoy your vintage ride.

Peace
