Hello everybody, new to the board. I built a chopper out of this bike with a jockey shift and after a week of riding the clutch pedal started feeling real "soft" in first gear. I have to push the pedal down a considerable distance to disengage the clutch through all five gears. The bike has about 11,000 miles on it and I 'am susspecting the cable is going out. I have tried a minor adjustment with the cable but susspect the adjustment needs to be made inside the sproket cover. If anyone has a link for a clutch adjustment on a 75' cb500(twin), or has any suggestions I would be very thankful!

Never mind, I figured it out myself. In case anyone out there has the same question the adjuster is right above the the toe shifter. Loosen the 10mm bolt, use a large flathead screw driver and turn the sloted adjuster to the right to tighten the clutch cable. Sorry for takeing up a thread guys.
