There's no UNsad way to go for one of ours.

I only met Easy one time, but in this place that
doesn't matter. I am truly saddened by this news.

Damn.
I learned a lot just by hanging around Easy whenever I got the opportunity;
I know I'm a richer person for having the chance to gather a few of his
pearls of wisdom. Condolences to his family, he will be missed by many.

I was fortunate to know Easy... I wish I saw him more. I was in
Florida and stayed at his house for 3 days last November. I know his
health was giving him trouble and he had a hard time walking around.
It never stopped him from riding.... God Bless, Merrill.

That surly sucks; my condolences to his family and friends.

I am SO sorry to hear this. I first met him in March 1995 in Tampa when
a friend and I trailered our bikes down to our Women in the Wind Winter
Nationals. He was judging the bike show and had to "meet the Wisconsin
girl who rode the hard-ridden Sportster." Imagine my surprise when I
found RMH...and found Easy here.
He was my long-distance mechanic who would tell me every time, "yes YOU
can fix it, just tear into it" and then would proceed to give me tips on
how to do the job easier. I always knew I could count on a no-bullshit
answer to whatever I asked him and I asked a lot of questions. He was a
trusted friend.
Easy, I will forever miss you. Next January, around our birthday times,
will not be the same.

That was real bad and sad news. Feel privileged to have shared Easys
table at diners in New Smyrna Beach many years back and kept up the
contacts in different ways, it always warmed my heart to get his X-mas
cards across the mail. Heh, we did not see eye to eye on the way I
treated the FXR but like people say, he was not one for bullshitting.
Like someone sed, "He'll leave a mighty big hole in our ranks".
