First time I met Easy was at my housewarming here in 2000. Somea you
guys took over the joint and ran off the decent folks! He was a kind and
gentle man. He'll be missed.

Thanks for carrying this heavy load to us Jinks.

There's precious few folks who leave ya with nuthin' but good
memories, nary a bad one to be found. Jeanne n' I feel damn lucky to
have 'em all too. Today's gonna be a good day revisiting those.

Snarl n' Jeanne... RIP Brother Easy <clink>

I never met the man, but after reading the nearly 30 replies so far this
morning, I'm convinced that the world has lost one of the good ones.

Ride in Peace and freedom Easy. There are no traffic accidents in
heaven.

Easy was one of the first folks we met in Daytona a few years ago
after stumbling upon rmh and deciding to make it to an eyeball.

They're will be a really big empty place at Smiley's bar next time

Damn.
I had kept in touch with Merrell over the years, off and on, by email.
More off than on. We had a plan to link up and ride sometime.

Guess it'll have to wait.

Think I'll just go for a long ride in the Hill country, by myself.

One of the best of us, the best friend anybody could have, a wit, a
sage, a poker at pretension, tilter at windmills, deflater of puffery,
connoisseur of redheads, cheeseburgers and Sunday morning rides across
the Bay, and, at the heart of it, a damn good man.

The big man leaves behind a big hole in a lot of hearts.

If there are redheads, fast baggers, cheeseburgers-n-beer where he is
now, he's smiling.
