Me and the woman dropped off the Goldwing yesterday at DFW Honda for its
32,000 mile service. They told me it would be ready today and it was. I
arrived to pick it up about 5:45 and they were just finishing it up. While
they were doing my paper work and going over what all they did with me,
Pedro took the bike and washed it and cleaned most all the bugs off.
This is one of the services that makes the pre-paid maintenance worth the
money. This was the first service that they adjusted the valves. Kinda a
rundown of what they did is Valve Adjustment, Oil Change, Oil Filter, Crush
Washer, Spark Plugs, Shim-Tappet, Hydraulic Fluid Change, Cleaned the
Crankcase Breather, and some other little stuff like inspect the brakes and
so on. Parts for all this doins was 60.17.....Labor was 891.00...Shop
Supplies was 10.00 and tax was 4.96. The grand total was 966.13.
When they ran my pre paid card, the boy said that I was 496.00 in the
negative on the card. I asked what the hell does that mean and he said it
meant that I got a hell of a deal on the pre paid plan. I pulled a Walker on
him and said....Well Yea....you dont think I would pay the right price for
something do you. I have one more service (36,000 Mile) and my pre-paid deal
is done. I was wanting to talk to the man about buying another round but he
has already left for the day. I guess I will call him in the morning and see
what kind of deal I can make. After all that big service, I am ready for the
road.
