This is what I've heard so far in terms of things
in the pipe for 2006...
1) Triumph is developing a 680cc triple that will be
used for a middleweight sportbike. I guess that's it
for the Daytona 650. Maybe we'll get a mini-SpeedTriple
as well?
2) Suzuki will release "super-standards"/streetfighters
based on the GSXR line. A 150hp SuperBandit? Whoah.
3) The VMax will finally be updated. ( Sure it will! )
Any others?
Oh, and Bike (UK Mag) said that Honda UK/Europe has
commited to having ABS standard on all bikes over
250cc in the next couple of years. It won't be optional.
I wonder if this will force the issue in North America?

Ducati will offer the mother of all V4s in 2006 and the V2 and I4 world will
never be the same... finally the V4 advantage will be clear... and my predict
will ring true... there's a V4 in your future...

Great news, especially if they keep the brakes unlinked. A key reason I
picked the FJR is that it was one of the least expensive bikes I found that
offered ABS.

Diesel and a decent front brake? Do that and I'll
buy one...then find a nice side car to add on. 8^)

Then how come Suzuki's V4 has taken so long to
start coming round? Well besides the fact that
they got on the band wagon late? I always liked
their parallel 4 from the 80's... I like funky!

Rossi won last year on virtual V4... Yamaha's logical step is a real V4...

Because Suzuki V4 had a 180 crank phase (little bang) now they rephased the
crank 360 (big bang) and now it's coming around...

I'm looking at a Lifan 200-cc virtual V-Single for my CB100.

Well, I guess in a virtual sense the older Goldwings are a virtual 180
degree V-4 and the old Beemers a virtual 180 degree V-Twin. My Savage is a
virtual V-Single.

The Triumph Daytona will be redesigned with a larger mill and rumor has
it the Trophy may be brought back too. The Tiger is getting a little
long in the tooth also so it could pop before the Trophy.
