I've got a line on a 2005 FJR1300 that a dealership ordered on spec.
Anybody pay less than MSRP for theirs?

Yep. If you got in on the PdP a lot of dealers sell for under MSRP.
Non-abs the first 2 years were 9999.00 at a few places while ABS was
about 10,799. This year there was a slight (100 to 200) increase from
Yamaha and these dealerships had to raise their prices accordingly.

Actually, I didn't get in on the PdP, but the dealer did. They coughed
up the dough for two bikes on their own. You think that's going to mean
I'm in for a bout of the ol' "how much is it worth to you" treatment?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Yes it will. Also, Yamaha has a requirement that the owner who bought
the bike under PdP (which the dealer had to fib about to get a floor
bike) MUST take delivery within 15 days of the dealership getting the
bike in. That means that clock starts ticking on the warranty at the
time the dealer tells Yamaha his Brother in Law took delivery (when in
reality it's sitting on the floor). You wanna bet that the dealer jacks
up the price for the lost $500 that Yamaha sends them for doing it right?

Check the FJR forums there are 03's, 04's and there will be some PdP 05
owners get cold feet. There are links to them at my web site listed below.

P.S. I believe thanks are in order to Brownse for posting this link

Thanks. Will do. I really wish I had read a little more about this
bike before they ended the PDP program for this year. I think I'm ready
to buy one of these if I can find a "right-to-buy" that someone doesn't
want to exercise.

Thanks, Bownse.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
