girlfriend buying new 2004 Yamaha R1. she can just barely even ride a
cruiser bike, let alone a track bike. it will probably never see more
than 1k per yr. and never never raced. i think its not only a waste
of $ but, i waste of a perfectly good R1 too..

yeah its her money $ and her life. i say, if ya want a poser bike,
get one of those big fat v-twin's but, not a R1. i just don't think
the R1 has all that much poser factor.. better yet, buy a HD. that
way when others ask, why aren't you riding your bike? she could say,
its in the shop for repairs. no one would disbelieve her.

Maybe she just likes having fun... Or riding a machine that will fly by

True, true, but I have a cruiser (XV920RJ) and a new FJR. Guess which one
hasn't been out of the garage in six months...
