I am having problems with my fuel light on my 2002 Yamaha R1. Shortly after
filling my tank (only a few miles) the fuel light starts to flash (8 flashes
pause 8 flashes pause....). Then it goes solid and the ftrip starts keeping
track of the milage. If I clear the ftrip the light goes back to flashing
then after a while it goes solid. I know its not low on fuel because it even
does this right after filling up. Does anyone have any suggestions before I
start tearing the tank apart and replacing sensors? Does anyone know what
code 8 flashes is?
Tony

are you sure the fuel sensor plug isnt unplugged? i have a 2001 R6 and i had
mine unplugged while it was running and it was flashing. unbolt your tank,
tip it and check that electrical plug......might have been loose and rattled
itself to dissconect.
