2001 R6 - HELP

hello all! i have a 2001 R6 (red) that i bought brand new in 2001. its been
a great bike so far. up until now. it seems to have a choppy idle. it dont
have that smooth sizzle sound while idling. also, it sounds the same way
when im cruising along at a steady speed. but seems to sound more in tune
when i give it gas. after about 20 minutes of riding, my hands feel like
they have been holding on to a vibrating rubber wang. what do you think?
carbs dirty? carbs need syncronized? please help. 12,000 miles on it. non CA
model.

yeah, get the carbs checked and synced. should be a sweet
