Hello group

This is my first time here and am looking for some help with a 1982
nighthawk 650. This bike was given to me but has electical problems.
(Battery won't charge) We have put on a new battery after we gave it a full
charge. Bike will start and run fine for a while but then the battery gets
too low to start it.

My question to the group is......... I have access to a stator and rotor
from a 1977 cb550 and I was wondering if they will swap over to the 1982 -
650? We have already put on a different Regulator Rectifier but that didn't
help. Any thoughts?

Thanks Cindy

Before starting to replace things it is nice to have a diagnostic.

To diagnose it, look at:

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.electrexusa.com/electrex_fault_finding.html" target="_blank">http://www.electrexusa.com/electrex_fault_finding.html</a> Download the pdf
file.

Follow it and solve the problem; if you cannot read this, get someone to
help.

Success, Robert.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
