Who makes a tire in a 190/55-17 that is NOT a race compound? All I can
find are Super Corsas, or similar, and I don't want a race compound to
use on the street.

You're not going to find anything but Metzler's SP1,2 or your Super
Corsa's ( same compound, race tire)

If a street compound is your goal then a 180/55-17 should cover any
need for your bike. The track is the only place a 190/55 vs 190/50
MIGHT have some advantage. Everyone I know uses 180/55 (street or
track) because they just feel better (snappier turn -in). If your main
concern is a high-side, a 190 over a 180 then you're fooling yourself
on the street.

Today's 190/55 Race compounds mimic all the good traits of Street compounds
of yesterday... fast warm ups and long wear with the added benefits of soft
side walls and low weight... not to mention phenomenal grip...

Currently I using Rennsports... a 180/55 RS3 and a 120/70 RS2... since
Metezler owns Pirelli the Corsas and the Rennsports are the same except for
the grooves... curved versus squared...

Bridgestone and most other brands make that size.

Go to <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.mawonline.com." target="_blank">www.mawonline.com.</a> They have links to all the tire manufacturer's
websites...

Bridgestone carried the BT012SS in this size, as of a couple years
ago. I bought several for the Mille.

BT012SS is an aggressive street/trackday compound, not true-race.

I want something to use for track days that does not require using tire
warmers (hence, my wish for a Corsa or BT-090 vs. the race tires). It's
for a busa, which has a 6" rear wheel. Currently running a 180/55 on
it, but the 6" rim flattens the profile out a bit.
