I don't watch much TV but that was excellent!
I can't agree on the winner though. In his yoof perhaps, but he sold out
a long time ago.

Of the top 10 living comics [1] only Bill Bailey makes me laugh,
Peter Kay is a great sitcom writer/actor - don't like his stand up.
Billy Connolly has never been funny.
[1] I don't care too much for the dead ones either.

Reg D Hunter is brilliant if you ever get the chance. Ed Byrne is
worth seeing too. Having said that there are some damn good acts
missing from the list and some damn silly ones on it. >> Stay informed about: 100 Best Stand Up's |

I've never enjoyed his TV shows (what little I've seen), and I don't
think I've ever seen him do stand up.
>Billy Connolly has never been funny.
Well, this is perhaps the ultimate futile conversation, isn't it,
seeing as how humour is so subjective. For the record, I saw Billy
Connolly live nearly 20 years ago and it remains far and away the
funniest experience I've ever had. I struggled to breathe.

20 years ago he had me gasping for air too. Today? no comment.
How can Sweller not find some of Bill Hicks good though?

How can a stand-up comic sell out? He's paid to tell jokes, it's
hardly a moral crusade. >> Stay informed about: 100 Best Stand Up's |
